Opening Door Gallery

The first exhibition in the Door Gallery:“OMNE/WORK, territorio come laboratorio”, shows the outcome of the first artists in residency workshop, which was held in Castelfranco Veneto in June 2016. Ten different artists with their personal views, Mattia Balsamini (Italia), Christian Lange (Germania), Mårten Lange (Svezia), Massimo Mastrorillo (Italia), Brent Meistre (Sudafrica), Karin Apollonia Müller (Germania), Josef Schulz (Germania), Nigel Shafran (Gran Bretagna), Kirsti Taylor Bye (Norvegia), collettivo TFTF (Italia), weave together the past and the present, memory and the contemporary, interpreting the complexity of the landscape of northeastern Italy, and discovering a shared ground of study here where unimagined intersections can be traced out and information and visions produced that return the complexity of the area and of the present age.

OMNE (the North East Mobile Observatory) has its origins in the idea of a route, a path across the local area that goes in search of possible ties between space, the landscape and the body that lives there.
